Awesome-ness, love

LIfe's pretty decent here. The closest picture of life here is like waking past Jonker walk in Malacca. Or if you happen to stay in Kuala Lumpur, it's like the sub-urb parts of KL, where the old shops are located. It's pretty decent, this place taught me how simple, how awesome life can be. There's no shopping malls to brag about, no huge fast food chains to claim, no ice-skating rinks to skate. But there's a Subway franchise right in our foodcourt. The Sub of the Day costs 75 rupees, which is like RM5.25. And there's Domino's and Baskin Robbins around, so it's not that bad :p

There isn't an inch of regret coming here. I know I am far from home, far from people I love, people I miss dearly, but I like it here. Yes, for no apparent reason. Thr's lots of honking here, crazy traffic, and autos zooming past us. In fact, thr's a thousand reasons to hate this place, bt I somehow find a thousand more to love my new home.

Speaking about the food, there's loads of Malaysian food here. Teh tarik, nasi lemak, and even Chinese food too. It's awesome. 1 plate of chicken fried rice at Dollops cost 55 rupees; around RM3.85, bt it's twice/thrice the portion of what you get in Malaysia! :)

Classes are quite fun, so far. Dissection 4 times a week, 2 hrs per day. The smell of formalin doesn't kill, but it does annoy you the first time. And Im trying to get used to it.

Life's hectic. Classes, break, classes and it somehow becomes a routine. Where's my holidaaaays? :))
Yup, Im starting to dread class already, and it's a Monday tmrw. Have a great wk ahead, guys!

2012 miles. 3018 km. Ain't that far, isn't it?

Months passed since I last blogged. That's 1 of the lousiest sentence to start off a new post, isn't it? :)
Nevertheless, time has taught me not to rant about the past. About things you cant change. About; moving on.

Go to your uni/college, walk down the corridor, and you will eventually realise that we have a thousand acquaintances whom we say hi-and-bye. But to have a true, real friend who cares for you, is a blessing in disguise. People constantly walk into our life, leave a sweet memory, or, more often than not, leave a wound.

Yes, I would have agreed with you, time doesn't change a thing. Time heals, because we somehow, tend to forget about the past, and *POOF* WE MOVE ON.
1 month from now, and I wouldn't be busy checking for typos in my post, or bumming around the house. In short, I wouldn't have much time to spare after this. 2012 miles. 3018 km. Go figure :))

GENTING, I LOVE YOU!

Genting has always reminded me of my childhood.
The Rolling Thunder Mine Train, the bumper boats, the Sungai Rajang Flume Ride, the cycling boats. Even the bumper cars.

I laugh, I smile to myself when pictures of them remind me of being a little girl. A little girl with huge dreams. A little girl crying in a huge supermarket when she didnt get the doll she wanted so much. A little girl who loves cotton candies. Waffles. And Popcorns.

I smile when I see the Ferris wheel, the Dinosaurland, the Merry-go-round.
They are all kiddo stuffs, but I really want to ride them again.
Who cares if Im all grown up? Who cares if it all looks childish and snobbish? Who cares if u call me a kiddo?

The rides make me feel happy. Somehow.
The joy when we were once much much younger, much much smaller, much much cuter when we see the merry-go-round. That's how it feels.
We might be old, darlings. But we r young at heart. We still do act like kids at times. Thr's still a child in every one of us.

I just want one ride. And its all that matters.

The Snowland makes me smile. I laugh when I see snow. Its all man-made snow, but who cares? Its cold. It freezes your senses. It numbs your body. It simply makes you happy. It makes me happy :D
I promised myself I will play with real snow when I grow up. And I know I will. Soon.

I smile when I see the cable cars. How I wish the distance is much much longer from Gohtong Jaya to Genting. Seriously.

Cant believe I cried and threw tantrums when my dad said we are not gonna enter the theme park when we visited Genting when I was around 9. Perhaps I had a natural ability to throw huge tantrums. Perhaps my parents were lenient. Perhaps my parents got so bored of me crying non-stop.
I got in at last. And it rained 5 minutes after we got in. How awesome :D
That's how I remembered that moment. It stays. Felt like it got hammered right into my head. Cos it taught me to listen to my parents and forget about being so selfish. For once :D

I wouldnt forget about 'Ripley's Believe It or Not'. Wonder if they still have it. They did some awesome art using coffee on huge pieces of bread, had a gazillion collection of ties, and an illusion tunnel. Not forgetting the Venice Gondola. Gosh, the place was practically turned into a wishing well. There's tons of coins. Bet you did collect at least RM300 if u pick them up. One by one :D
Wonder why I like it?
Cos I spent awesome moments at those attractions with my 1 good friend. A good friend who taught me so many things. A good friend who showed me what love really meant. A good friend who will always remain in my heart.

Genting is always a place I love. The theme park, the cold atmosphere, the buzz.
Would love to go there again to spend some real good quality time with someone I love. With people I love.

And 1 thing I gotta try the next time I visit?
Hmmph... lets just see if they stop me from entering the casino :D

Happy Valentine's! :D

Its alrd close to 7 pm now, Malaysian time, on a lovely Valentine's day, and also the 1st day of CNY.

Had a movie marathon,
watched

UP IN THE AIR
DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE MORGANS
BLIND DATING
PENELOPE.

Up in the Air isnt all about George Clooney.
Personally like this one, tho. It gives you a fresh perspective of life. Of relationships. Of responsibities.
I gotta say he acted well. Gosh, how many guys actually act so gentleman-ly, really caring for her wife/girlfriend?
Go figure!

Did you hear about the Morgans, is well, subtle, yet, entertaining.
Blame me for liking Hugh Grant. Yes, darling, Im a huge fan of his. But, trust me, his witty humor wont let you down.
He is a lovely Briton, definitely.
Sarah Jessica Parker's awesome, too.
Frankly speaking, his role in the movie is a good example of what men should be; funny, responsible, nice... with a touch of sarcasm :D

Blind dating's a lil dry at first, yet, its plot's pretty good. Very few movies focus on cultural difference. Its about an American guy falling in love with an Indian girl. Sweet.

Watched Penelope today, on Valentine's.
Thumbs up. It's really good. It's not all about breaking the curse. Its about finding ur true love.

And one thing the movie Penelope reminded me of?
That Im still waiting for that Mr. Right, that Mr. Darcy who plays piano.
I find guys who play piano sweet. And attractive.

Happy Valentine's, mates! And ve a roar-ing NEW YEAR :D

Gonna dream about Mr. Right tonight! xx.

RANDOM-NESS

Finally,

now tht I could

breathe the air of relief.
Officially log into facebook and stalk some of my old friends. Yes, darling, it spells old.
Have a good lonnggggg sleep.
And sit down on my comfy couch to post a new entree on my blog.

Phew.

And this is also the ''PERFECT'' time

where I fall sick.
Where classes are gonna begin in less than 6 days.
Where my head throbs, credits to the mild headache that I have.

Maybe I should tarik balik the ''Phew'' that I typed.
This isn't a sign of relief, after all.

Nevertheless, I managed to catch the FIFA WORLD CUP TOUR last week, and that's all that matters.

I didn't want to purchase 2 bottles of Coke, get the proof of purchase, which entitles me for a spin at that silly wheel?

Lugging 2 HUMONGOUS 1.5 L COKE BOTTLES?
*GASP*
No way!
Thr's lots of shopping to do.
THR'S NO WAY IN THE WORLD IM GONNA WALK AROUND THE MALL WITH THE BOTTLES!

Well, well, as usual, I didn't listen to my inner thoughts.
''Ah, nevermind,'' 2 bottles weigh around 3 kg nyways.

''IS IT THAT HEAVY?'' I asked myself.

I queued up, bought the 2 bottles and spinned the wheel.

Thanks to that dude that was in-charge of the tickets, I got one.
Geez, A TICKET TO SEE THE WORLD CUP TROPHY.
It was supposed to be the REAL ONE, but of course, they always say ''VERY CLOSE TO THE REAL ONE'' , which prolly means it isn't.

Up I went,
and I definitely had a blast there.

Free COKE
awesome games,
AND THE MOST AMAZING THING WAS I TOOK PICTURE WITH JEN.
Gosh, he's CUTE!

Of course, the 3-D movie was fantabulous too!
The 3-D specs was like a cool accessory!

What was the funniest part?
The makcik that was standing beside kept waving her hands when the sparks flew past us ( lol tht's wut u call 3-D, makcik) :D

Oh, they even allowed us to take picture with the trophy.

SPEECHLESS.

And 1 lesson I learnt on that day?
When in doubt, DO!

Who knows, luck might just be knocking at ur door! :D

P/S: 2 bottles of COKE is heavy, darling.
Especially if u window shop and walk-non-stop in that HUGE mall from dawn till dusk!

Where is the dislike button when I need it the most?

Its been a day and 5 hrs since I first stepped on uni grounds in 2010.
29 hrs, to be exact.
And I miss home. Terribly. Horribly. Crazily.

Im usually very much independent, but not this time.
Frankly, I dislike it here. The feeling of coming back and having to live in the air polluted with I-see-ppl-studying-24/7 isn't a great feat, afterall.

Barf.
Plus loads of undone assignments, not loads, but yes, undone assignments make me gawk at the sight of them.
Ay, at times I feel like screaming,''shooh, I NEED A BREAK!''

Nevertheless, classes gonna commence this Monday, which is barely 48 hours from now.
Uggh. I dont fancy classes. Afternoon lectures, I meant.
DISLIKE. DISLIKE. DISLIKE.
And tht makes me wonder y FACEBOOK DOESNT HAVE A DISLIKE BUTTON.
Ay, we aren't doomed to always LIKE one's status, are we?
:D Yes, darling, Im referring to my blog's title. DISLIKE BUTTON :d

Come to think of the guards or whoever it is who will cut off the bloody connection at 12.00 am sharp pisses me off, more.

Yes, that's why I would love to go back home, too!
I miss MELAKA. Period.

Lots of love,
KIM. xx.

2010. New Year, New Resolutions

I woke up, had chicken rice for breakfast, and packed my stuffs for the bus station, to come back to uni.

Yes, tht's wut I did for the 1st day of 2010.

And nw Im having dinner for my dinner/supper, to rep things up on the 1st day of the year, besides rushing to finish this post! Phew!

Nevertheless, I hope to do well this year, meet more people, learn more, and secure my seat in MBBS. Ay, yes, I would love to go to India, by the way. One exotic place, AI bet! And the spices and the rhythm. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I sppose :D

And at the meantime, Im gonna
SPEAK LESS, THINK MORE, EAT LESS, CHEW MORE, HATE LESS, LOVE MORE,
and ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE IS YOURS!

Lots of love,
KIM. xx :D
